Swansea City Under-18s got back to winning ways after beating high-flying Colchester United in the Professional Development League.

Goals from Cameron Congreve and Morgan Clarke sealed the points for Anthony Wright's side at Wallace Binder Ground - home of non-league Maldon & Tiptree.

Following back-to-back draws against Wigan and Coventry, the young Swans took a 12th-minute lead against the table-toppers as Congreve cleverly turned away from his marker and finished to round off a lovely move down the right flank.

The visitors doubled their advantage nine minutes before half-time with Clarke slotting home from the penalty spot after Adrian Akande was brought down in the box.

The hosts responded after the break with Tom Stagg reducing the arrears, but the Swans held on for a hugely creditable victory.
