Swansea City Under-23s claimed another point in Premier League 2 after holding Everton to a goalless draw at Goodison Park.

The young Swans made seven changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Derby County at Landore on Monday.

New signing Simon Paulet made his debut in a three-man midfield, where he was joined by Kees de Boer and the returning Oli Cooper.

Gregor Zabret, who made some brilliant saves to keep Everton at bay, returned in goal with Matt Blake and Joe Lewis coming back into defence, while Botti Biabi was back in the starting line-up to partner Liam Cullen up front.

A youthful Swans side frustrated their opponents and almost snatched a late winner, but Joe Hilton produced a good save to deny substitute Marco Dulca.

The Swans are back in action on Tuesday against Stevenage at Broadhall Way in their opening match of this season’s Checkatrade Trophy.
