Report | Hull City U21s 1 Swansea City U21s 4
Swansea City U21s came from a goal down to secure a handsome victory over their Hull City counterparts at North Ferriby.
The visitors had trailed to an early goal from Josh Ocaya, but the Swans would lead by the time the interval arrived following a quickfire brace from Josh Pescatore.
A Morgan Bates header and Bobo Evans' first goal at under-21 level saw the Swans ease to the win and further bolster their Professfional Development League play-off aspirations.
Coach Anthony Wright will have been particularly pleased with the manner of the victory given the Swans were without a number of players away on international duty.
And, after a challenging opening, they were more than worthy winners with a clinical display.
Hull had started brightly and they took a 13th-minute lead when James Debayo surged past a trio of defenders and teed up Ocaya to fire past Joe Collins in the Swansea goal.
Ocaya could have doubled the lead a few moments later but Collins held his shot from range, while the keeper also denied Pharrell Brown at the back post following a fine run and cross from Ramell Carter.
A pair of point-blank saves after Henry Revill's initial effort had been blocked soon followed for the busy Collins, but from that point the Swans grew into the game and looked more assured.
They deservedly levelled in the closing stages of the first half, Pescatore calmly finding the net after his initial strike had been blocked straight back to him.
And the winger would strike again in stoppage time as he finished smartly at the back post to give Swansea a 2-1 interval lead.
A third Swansea goal arrived two minutes into the second half, Bates rising to power home a header from Pescatore's cross.
Hull sought a way back into the game but created no real clear-cut openings, and the Swans put the game to bed when substitute Evans dispatched a first-time effort high into the net.
