A stoppage-time equaliser denied Swansea City Under-18s all three points as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Norwich City in Premier League South.

The Swans appeared to be on course for only their second league win of the season after Josh Thomas put them 3-2 up in the dying seconds of regulation time.

However, Tyrese Omotoye rescued a point for the Canaries when he volleyed home a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser.

Norwich began the brighter of the two sides on a rainy afternoon at Warwick University. They took the lead in the 10th minute as Josh Giurgi inadvertently sent his attempted cross curling beyond Swansea keeper Tyler Evans and into the top corner.

Anthony Wright’s side responded three minutes into the second half with Cameron Congreve netting his first goal at this level to equalise, while Thomas completed the turnaround when he smashed home soon afterwards.

The Canaries hit back through Eddie Jackson’s deflected strike, but the Swans regained the lead in the 90th minute as Thomas rounded the goalkeeper before slotting in his seventh league goal of the season.

But there was to be one final twist in the second minute of stoppage time, when Omotoye volleyed past Evans to secure a share of the spoils.
