Swansea City Under-18s scored their first goal of 2020, but it was not enough to prevent a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Aston Villa in Premier League South.

The young Swans suffered a sixth consecutive defeat in all competitions against Villa, who recorded their third straight victory in the process.

Villa took the lead in the 23rd minute at Landore as Hayden Lindley beat Lewis Webb from the penalty spot.

The visitors doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time through Carney Chukwuemeka.

Anthony Wright’s side hit back 17 minutes into the second half with Aaron Hillier setting up Connor Shields to score his first league goal in over 15 months.

However, Villa restored their two-goal cushion 10 minutes later as Chukwuemeka turned provider for Harrison Sohna.

And the visitors wrapped up the victory eight minutes from time, with substitute Brad Young adding a fourth.
