Swansea City Under-18s were denied victory as a late Kavalli Heywood strike gave Millwall a share of the spoils at Landore.

The Swans had taken the lead through Geoff Bony in the first-half, but Millwall levelled early in the second half through Harry Hearn.

The hosts responded with Iwan Morgan netting his 18th goal of the season, but Heywood salvaged a point for the Lions 10 minutes from time.

The hosts had Aimar Govea back in their starting line-up, and they opened brightly as a raking pass from Thomas Woodward paves the way for Morgan to deliver a threatening cross that Bony just failed to connect with.

Zane Myers then showed wonderful skill down the left flank before his high cross evaded Bony and Morgan in the penalty box.

At the other end, Kit Margetson denied Laquay Coleman chance after the Millwall forward had gone through one on one with the Swansea keeper.

Swansea looked likely to find an opener, with Morgan finding the side-netting from Bony’s pass as they pressed again.

And the goal duly arrived as Morgan got into space down the right and laid the ball on for Bony to turn in from close range.

It ensured Swansea held the interval lead, but they were pegged back before five minutes of the second half had elapsed, Hearn drilling a low strike into the net.

Swansea responded well to the setback, Morgan seeing a deflected strike fly wide after excellent work by Richard Faakye, while the Millwall keeper was out quickly to deny Bony a few minutes later.

And it was the duo of Bony and Morgan who were to fire the Swans ahead once again.

Bony dug out a cross after bring crowded out on the edge of the area, and Morgan got ahead of his marker to finish.

Moments later Josh Carey so nearly added a third from distance, but in the end Millwall had the final word as Heywood popped up unmarked in the area to turn in the equaliser.
