Swansea City Under-18s suffered a heavy defeat to their West Ham counterparts in Premier League South.

The young Swans had done well to recover from conceding two early goals to trail 3-2 and give themselves a chance of getting something from the game at Landore.

But a flurry of West Ham goals ensured it was the Hammers who claimed the spoils.

The visitors had taken the lead in the eighth minute when Veron Parkes rifled home from the edge of the area.

Mipo Odubeko soon doubled the lead on his West Ham debut, only for Will Rickard to smartly pull a goal back just before the half-hour mark.

Sebastian Nebyla restored West Ham’s two goal lead but Ali Al-Hamadi responded on 57 minutes, and then saw a chance to draw the Swans level denied by the keeper.

It was as close as the hosts got to parity as Parkes and sub Christian Velicky opened up daylight between the teams.

Parkes then completed his hat-trick, before Velicky and Gael Kileba completed the scoring.
