Swansea City Under-18s maintained their unbeaten run in all competitions as they claimed an emphatic 5-0 win over Coventry City in the Professional Development League Cup. 

The young Swans were three goals to the good at the break thanks to Kaleab Meron, Ifan Harding and Alex Godfrey. Sol Baker added a fourth immediately after the break as skipper Alfie Jones rounded off the scoring with a fifth minutes later.

Swansea remain unbeaten in both the League and Cup group stage, sitting on the top spot in both. Last time out in the cup, the Swans also ran out 5-0 winners against Oxford United away from home.

Meron opened the scoring just beyond the half-hour mark. A smart ball from Jones found the feet of Godfrey unmarked in the area, and the Wales youth international laid off to the former Arsenal scholar who dispatched well from close range.

Ten minutes later, Under-16s' forward Harding got himself on the scoresheet. And it was Godfrey again with the assist, finding Harding amongst a crowd of defenders, and the youngster took one touch to turn the ball into the back of the net.

With two assists to his name, Godfrey got a goal of his own with a lovely strike from a free-kick in the final seconds of the first half.

Baker struck home a fourth after latching onto a loose ball outside of the area, as the captain Jones' deflected shot from distance struck the bottom corner to give the Swans back-to-back wins in the cup.
