Report | Swansea City U23s 2 Exeter City U23s 2
Swansea City Under-23s drew 2-2 with Exeter City Under-23s in the Premier League Cup.
Two goals from Jaden Forrester were not enough for the Swans to pick up their first win in the competition this season.
Callum Rowe equalised for the Grecians before Ben Seymour put the visitors ahead, but neither side could find a winner.
Swansea had a number of chances in the first half, Ben Erickson coming close with a powerful header that was parried over the bar.
Joe Thomas broke down the right-hand side, but his low effort was dragged wide of the goal.
Exeter thought they had took the lead after George Ray’s header from a corner found the back of the net, but the referee blew for a foul in the box.
But Forrester would break the deadlock, Dylan Morgan sliding the forward through on goal before the former tucked the ball under the goalkeeper.
Exeter would be level just four minutes later, Nico Defreitas-Hansen’s misplaced pass at the back allowed Rowe to hit a simple lob to make it 1-1.
The Grecians would cause trouble from set pieces in the second half, Ray forcing a fantastic save out of Defreitas-Hansen with a bullet of a header at the back post.
Seymour would put the visitors ahead, the experienced Colin Daniel finding the forward in the box who found the bottom right corner.
Forrester would get his second of the afternoon, with Cameron Congreve picking out the forward in the box and he took a touch before calmly finishing to level proceedings.
The results sees both teams level in Group F with two points with just two games left to go.
