Rhian Brewster has his eyes set on a debut and derby double this weekend as the Liverpool loanee prepares for Swansea City’s clash with Cardiff City.

The 19-year-old joined the Swans on loan from the Reds on Tuesday, with Brewster set to spend the rest of the campaign in SA1.

After meeting his new team-mates and taking part in training this week, his focus is now planted on Sunday’s trip to the Cardiff City Stadium.

The striker is no stranger to big rivalries as he featured in Liverpool’s FA Cup win over Everton in the Merseyside derby last weekend.

Now he looks to play his part in helping the Swans create history by becoming the first team to complete a league double in the South Wales derby.

“Everyone has spoken to me about it a lot,” said Brewster. “It’s a big game and what a game to come in to.

“Of course, it’s a chance to do the first ever double, so why not do it while I’m here?

“Hopefully, I can make my debut for Swansea in such a big game and help the team complete the double.”
