Graham Potter says Joe Rodon is progressing well in his recovery from a broken metatarsal.

Defender Rodon has been sidelined since suffering the injury during the first half of the Swans 1-0 victory over Sheffield United in January.

But he is set to step up his recovery after having a protective cast removed, and the 21-year-old is on course to return following the international break.

"Joe is making progress, he is out of his cast so he can start stepping things up," said Potter.

"It is a similar timescale to the one we mentioned before, it will be after the international break for him."

Swansea head to Carrow Road to face Championship leaders Norwich on Friday night, and Potter expects to be with the same squad he had at his disposal for the weekend win over Bolton.

That means club captain Leroy Fer will miss out again after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hamstring strain, and the Dutchman is also likely to be absent until after the upcoming international break.

"We are pretty much as we were last week. Leroy and Joe are progressing, apart from that every is available other than Martin Olsson," added Potter.

"He is progressing nicely too, but is some way away yet."
