Ronald is eager to show the Jack Army what he can bring to Swansea City as he eyes a potential home debut against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (3pm).

The 22-year-old Brazilian joined the Swans from Brazilian club Gremio Anapolis on Monday, and went straight into the squad for Tuesday’s meeting with Leicester.

The winger got 45 minutes under his belt at the King Power Stadium, and showed glimpses of the pace and athleticism head coach Luke Williams hopes he can bring to his squad.

Ronald spoke of his excitement and pride at having pulled on the Swans shirt for the first time, and now he is eager to experience playing at the Swansea.com Stadium.

“For me it was incredible to make my debut,” he said.

“I never expected to have an emotion like the one I felt playing for the team in a great stadium and, regardless of the result, I'm very happy to have played and now I need to make sure I work and focus, and think about the next game.

“The expectation for playing at home in front of the fans is very high, and I'm very motivated to play at the Swansea.com Stadium, even more so after making my debut.

“I want to start off on the right foot and I’m really hungry for the chance to play at home.”
