Russell Martin has challenged Swansea City to back up victory at West Brom with another positive showing and result against Coventry City this afternoon (3pm).

The Swans picked up a first away win since November courtesy of late goals from Joel Piroe and Cyrus Christie at The Hawthorns.

Swansea's home form has been very good in 2022, with three wins from four league games at the Swansea.com Stadium.

And head coach Martin wants his side to continue that record, and seek to produce the sort of performance that saw them claim three points in the reverse fixture against the Sky Blues.

“I thought it was a really top performance last time up there, we know Coventry are a very good team,” said Martin.

“I like and respect what they’ve done over time, what Mark and his staff have done. “They’ve shown how important it is to have a philosophy and to have time to implement it.

“We’re at home. We like being at home and if we can replicate the performance we put up there we can hope for a good result.

“I think it will be a good game, they will not come here to try and stop us playing, they will want to impose themselves and I am looking forward to it.

“The players are looking forward to it, I think the performance the result on Monday will allow us to go out on the pitch with confidence.

“We have to back up Monday with another good performance and result, because sometimes this season we have followed up a good performance with a poor one for one reason or another.

“If we can get the same guys on the pitch that would be great to build some consistency.

“If we can continue to build those relationships and connections then that will be even better for us.”
