Russell Martin believes Swansea City have a chance to underline their recent progress in a week where they face three sides fighting at differing ends of the table.

That run of fixtures starts against Huddersfield Town this afternoon (3pm), with the Terriers looking to extend a five-game unbeaten run that has seen them move out of the bottom three.

Play-off hopefuls Preston and Norwich are next up for the Swans, who have won three of their last four and taken 10 points from a possible 12.

And, as they take on a visiting side who have enjoyed a revival under the guidance of Neil Warnock, the Swans boss wants to see his team continue to show the courage and resilience that has helped them come through a difficult period.

“We want to win as many games as we possibly can, that has to be the challenge. every player at this stage of the season is motivated by something different and we need to put all that out on the pitch,” he said.

"We have a brilliant group of players, the energy is so good. we have real selection problems at the minute because of how well the guys have performed.

“We've got three games in a week so I'm pretty sure everyone's going to get a chance to play.

“We can impact a lot in these next three games and it’s a big week for us to show how far we have come.

“That starts on Saturday. Neil (Warnock) has done an incredible job there. He has had an incredible career, the longevity he has had.

“I have an understanding of the energy this job takes, it is incredible, so to still have the energy he does is brilliant.

“He looks like he's really enjoying it, he's taken a huge amount of weight off the players. they're working so hard for each other.

"A know a lot of players who have played for him, every single one has got nothing but good words to say about him.

“We know they will pose a challenge with the energy and the effort they have been shown, and we need to match that and be very clean and accurate in our play.”
