Russell Martin insists Swansea City must “get back on it” as they look to return to winning ways when they host Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Swans suffered consecutive defeats for the first time since Martin’s appointment following losses to Reading and Middlesbrough.

Now they host a resurgent Forest side that has hugely improved following the arrival of former Swans boss Steve Cooper at The City Ground.

Martin pointed to a number of individual errors as reason for the defeat to Reading in SA1, while his team improved significantly despite going down at Middlesbrough last weekend.

Now he’s keen to see his team find their rhythm once again in time for Forest’s visit to the Swansea.com Stadium.

"We’re just looking to improve as much as we can,” said Martin. “It’s simplistic to say we need to defend better or put it into the back of the net better.

“It’s going to be a really interesting game tomorrow. They’ve been on a really good run since Steve Cooper took over. We’ll have to get back on it at some point and there’s no better place to do it than at home.

“Reading was very much individual errors which doesn’t happen very often. Middlesbrough was fantastic - to create so many chances away from home.

“It becomes more frustrating that we haven’t got anything out of the game. It’s about taking the good bits out of those performances, the amount of chances we created was good.

“What let us down was conceding poor goals at the other end. We’ve been working on stuff and hopefully we’ll put it into practice.”

The Swans boss is expecting to have a full squad available for Saturday, with a number of Martin’s first-team squad having benefited from a midweek friendly against Brentford B.
