Stats: Reading v Swans

It’s time for some statistics as we look ahead to the Swans’ trip to the Madejski Stadium to take on Reading in the Carabao Cup this evening (8pm).

Paul Clement’s men are aiming to build on the impressive point gained against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday by advancing to the fourth round for the first time in five years.

And, ahead of the fixture, we have taken a look at the game from a statistical perspective.

 

Reading

3 - Reading have progressed past Swansea in the three League Cup ties between the sides; most recently a 1-0 victory in round two of the 2007-08 competition.

8 - Swansea are unbeaten in each of their eight most recent meetings with Reading.

13 - The Swans have won 13 of their last 16 League Cup contests against lower-league opponents, including a 5-0 win over Bradford City in the 2013 League Cup final.

1 - However, they have only reached the fourth round once in the last four seasons since their League Cup triumph.
