Stephen Eustaquio has returned to training with Swansea City but will continue to be assessed ahead of Saturday’s clash with West Ham United, head coach Vitor Matos has confirmed.

The 26-year-old midfielder picked up a shoulder injury while on international duty but has since rejoined the squad ahead of the Hammers’ visit to SA1.

Matos and his coaching staff will make a late decision on the Canada international’s availability ahead of the weekend's fixture.

“The squad’s looking good,” confirmed Matos.

“Stephan [Eustaquio] has joined training with the team but we will continue assessing the moment with him and we have one more session to go."

Elsewhere, Matos confirmed Josh Key remains sidelined through injury but is making progress in his recovery, while Filip Lissah will miss the encounter through suspension.

“With Josh we’re still in the rehab stage, and will continue to work towards fitness.”

Lissah’s suspension means Matos will need to consider his options at right-back for the visit of West Ham.
