Steve Cooper | Bouncing back is our only option

Steve Cooper wants Swansea City to dust themselves down and quickly get over their disappointment against Nottingham Forest.

The Swans saw their unbeaten start to life under their new head coach come to an end with a slender 1-0 defeat at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

But, such is the nature of the Championship, Cooper and his players are already back down to work and preparing for the short trip to Bristol City on Saturday.

The Robins have themselves made a fine start to the season, sitting just behind the second-placed Swans in the table.

And Cooper says Swansea’s only option is to make sure they get back to picking up positive results as quickly as possible.

“We have to carry on with our work, we are disappointed and it’s not happened too often since I have come in,” he said.

“That was the case against Forest but we stick to the plan, we get our heads down and get ready for the next one.

“We analyse the game, compare what happened to how we want to play and stick to the plan of how we work.

“Through highs and lows that’s what we will do.

“Bouncing back is the only option. We are not going to cry, we are disappointed as we should be. But we have to get over it and get back to work.”
