Steve Cooper believes Swansea City’s January signings can add to the winning mentality in his squad.

The Swans secured three loan signings within eight days as Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster was joined by Chelsea duo Marc Guehi and Conor Gallagher at the Liberty.

All have joined on loan deals until the end of the season, with Gallagher the last of the three to arrive when he put pen to paper on Wednesday.

They are well known to Cooper, who managed them during England Under-17s’ victorious World Cup campaign in 2017.

Brewster won the Golden Boot at that tournament, while he has a Champions League medal in his trophy cabinet after appearing on the bench for Liverpool’s final win over Tottenham Hotspur last summer.

Guehi has also tasted plenty of club success, too, having been part of Chelsea’s quadruple-winning team in 2017-18.

Gallagher featured in that same team, while he was also among the substitutes as the Blues lifted the Europa League trophy in May.

And Cooper feels those successes can help build the winning culture he has at the Liberty for the remaining 19 games.

“Players who have won things in their career – no matter the level – know what it takes to get over the line.

“That is something we are certainly trying to grow here. We don’t anyone here to settle for less.

“Conor has won trophies, albeit at youth level along with the Europa League, and winning is a good habit. Of course, like us, his next challenge is to take that into the first-team here like he has with Charlton.

“Rhian and Marc have experienced success too. If you do it a lot then you get used to how to do it, and that winning habit can help us move forward.”
