Swans duo Chloe Chivers and Yzzy Taylor nominated for Adran Premier Player and Manager of the Season
Swansea City Women’s Chloe Chivers has been nominated for the Adran Premier Player of the Season award, while head coach Yzzy Taylor has been nominated for Manager of the Season.
Former Wales international midfielder Chivers has enjoyed a standout campaign with the Swans, scoring 19 goals in all competitions while also registering 16 assists.
Of those, 16 goals have come in the league, with Chivers playing a key role in securing a top-four finish, as well as helping guide her side to the Bute Energy Welsh Cup final.
It marks her most prolific league season during her time with the Swans, with a number of her goals coming from impressive long-range efforts throughout the campaign.
She is joined on the shortlist by the league’s top goal scorer, Katie Barker of Wrexham, and Cardiff City midfielder Lily Billingham.
It has also been a superb first season in charge for head coach Yzzy Taylor, who has been nominated for Manager of the Season.
Since taking charge, Taylor has overseen 12 wins from 20 league matches in her debut campaign, with her side scoring 58 goals in the process.
She has also played a key role in guiding the Swans to their first Welsh Cup final since 2018, with the team enjoying another impressive attacking run, netting 28 goals in just five matches en route to the final.
Wrexham boss Jenny Sugarman has also been nominated following a domestic double, lifting both the Genero Adran Premier title and the Genero Adran Trophy, while former Cardiff City manager Iain Derbyshire is also shortlisted after leading his side to a second-place finish in the league.
The winners will be announced at the FAW National League Awards on Saturday, May 16 at the Coal Exchange in Cardiff.
