Swansea City will be heading to Germany and Austria next month for their final pre-season preparations ahead of the new Championship campaign.
The Swans will take part in the Interwetten Cup in Magdeburg (Germany) on Saturday, July 21 against host club FC Magdeburg of the Bundesliga and Genoa of Serie A.
The round-robin tournament, in which each game will last 60 minutes, will take place at the MDCC Arena.
The Swans faced FC Magdeburg back in 1983-84 in the preliminary round of the Cup Winners' Cup over two legs. A goal from Ian Walsh earned the Swans a 1-1 draw at the Vetch, but manager John Toshack saw his side lose the return leg 1-0.
Graham Potter's Swans will then travel to Bad Häring in Austria for a six-day training camp where they will face La Liga side Eibar on Tuesday, July 24 at the Jenbach Stadium (7pm CEST) and Freiburg at Stadium Imst on Friday, July 27 (5pm CEST).
Prior to the tour, the Swans will travel to Yeovil to face Darren Way’s side at Huish Park in a friendly on Tuesday, July 10 (7.45pm).
Due to the Championship's early start, on August 4, there will be no friendly at the Liberty Stadium this summer so the pitch can be relaid and readied for the new campaign.
