Swans Ladies hit Aberystwyth for six

2nd September

Swansea City Ladies hit Aberystwyth Town for six in their final game of pre-season last weekend.
The Swans, fielding six of their new summer signings, started confidently and opened the scoring after five minutes through Emilly Hancock.
Further goals from Rachel Rowe and Chloe Lloyd rounded off an accomplished first half performance, and the second period continued in the same vain with the Swans controlling possession and constantly threatening the opposition goal.
Rowe added her second before debutant Stacey John scored a brace, while the visitors pulled a goal back through a superb 30-yard strike.
Manager Ian Owen said: "This was a great way to finalise our preparations for the league opener next week away to Pilcs. There were a lot of new faces on show for us today so I am really pleased with how quickly the team got into their stride, we played with a lot of confidence and our finishing was first class."
