Swans Ladies keep up pressure on Cardiff Met

17th April

Swansea City Ladies kept their title chances alive with a clean sheet as they ran out 2-0 winners against Port Talbot Town recently.
The first half ended goalless before defender Sam Sweeney broke the deadlock after 55 minutes when she met an Emily Hancock corner to head home for her second goal of the season.
The Swans sealed their victory late on as Tija Richardson scored an own goal.
Swansea City Ladies then stormed to a 7-1 win at Rhyl & Prestatyn Ladies last weekend.
Chloe Lloyd got an 11th-minute opener and added a penalty just before the hour mark, while Emma Beynon and Kelly Newcombe scored in a three-minute first-half spell, with Katie Hosford and Sarah Adams getting on the scoresheet soon after the restart.
Amy Webster pulled a goal back for the hosts but Newcombe fired in the seventh off Jackie Wier.
Swans Ladies now face Cardiff City in the FAW Welsh Women's Cup Final on Sunday (April 19). The final will be played at  Penybont FC, Bryntirion Park, Llangewydd Road, Bridgend, CF31 4JU. Kick off is at 5.30pm - 19/04/15.
