Swans Ladies secure place in final

23rd January

A brace from Emma Beynon helped the Swans Ladies beat Cardiff Met and secure their place in the League Cup final.
Beynon netted the first goal of the game after 36 minutes when Jodie Passmore put the keeper under pressure from a Katy Hosford cross, which Emma Beynon then slotted home.
The home side increased the pressure after the break and sealed the win with five minutes left to play.
Beynon caught Cardiff on the counter attack and slotted the ball into the bottom corner to secure a place in the final.
She added: "It was a physical game and we all played well as a team. It was a really good result for us to bounce back from last week. We deserved to win as all the girls put 110% effort in. I am really happy to have scored both goals but it was down to the effort from the whole team."

Swansea City will now face PILCS in the final of the Welsh Women's Premier League Cup to be played on March 27.
