Swansea City have been boosted by news that Wilfried Bony did not pick up an injury during Saturday’s defeat at West Ham.

Bony was substituted at half-time at the London Stadium as a precautionary measure after complaining of tightness in his hamstring.

But further analysis has shown that there was no damage done.

As a result, Bony has been cleared to head off on international duty.

The striker has been recalled to the Ivory Coast squad for their World Cup qualifier in Mali on Friday.

Bony has not featured for the Elephants since the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, but has been summoned by boss Marc Wilmots having got back in action at club level with the Swans.
