Senior squad members Martin Olsson, captain Leroy Fer, Luciano Narsingh, Wilfried Bony and Wayne Routledge are among those to have been released after seeing their contracts come to an end.

Routledge has proved a great servant to the Swans, having made 260 appearances – scoring 27 goals – since joining from Newcastle United in August 2011.

The winger was a constant figure in the club’s seven-year stint in the Premier League, while he also played a key role in the Swans’ League Cup success in 2013 and the resulting Europa League campaign.

Fer, named captain this season, scored 10 goals in 101 appearances for the Swans since initially joining on loan from QPR in February 2016.

Bony, meanwhile, departs after a second stint in SA1, with the Ivorian – who spent four months on loan with Qatar club Al-Arabi this season – leaving the club after scoring 38 times in 96 appearances.

Swedish international Olsson leaves after two-and-a-half years at the Liberty, having joined from Norwich City in January 2017.

The left-back, who has not featured since rupturing his Achilles against Brentford in December, featured 75 times for the club, scoring twice.

Everyone at Swansea City would like to thank each player for their efforts and service to the club and wish them well in the future.
