Swansea City will be without 14 players as they head off on international duty this week.

Connor Roberts and Declan John are part of Ryan Giggs' squad as Wales begin the Nations League with games against the Republic of Ireland in Cardiff on Thursday and Denmark in Aarhus on Sunday.

Martin Olsson and Kristoffer Nordfeldt are again included in Sweden’s squad following their World Cup adventures over the summer.

The Swedes play a friendly against Austria in Vienna on Thursday before beginning their Nations League campaign against Turkey in Solna next Monday.

Bersant Celina will join up with Kosovo, who make the long trip to Azerbaijan on Friday before hosting the Faroe Islands in another Nations League game next Monday.

Recent signing Cameron Carter-Vickers will hope to get some game-time with the USA.

The centre-back will also have to do plenty of travelling as the Americans take on Brazil in New Jersey next Saturday before a second friendly against Mexico in Tennessee a week on Wednesday.

Nine Swans players have been called up to represent their nations at either under-21 or under-19 level.

Joel Asoro is with Sweden’s under-21s as they prepare for home Uefa Under-21 Championship qualifying games against Hungary on Friday and Turkey a week on Tuesday.

Swans centre-back Joe Rodon has pulled out of the Wales Under-21 squad for their qualifiers against Liechtenstein on Friday and Portugal a week on Tuesday, both of which will be played in Bangor.

But club-mates Daniel James, Liam Cullen, Cian Harries and Aaron Lewis are involved, while Brandon Cooper is with Wales Under-19s for back-to-back games against the Republic of Ireland.

Elsewhere, Marco Dulca travels with Romania’s under-21s and there is a place in Iceland’s under-19s for midfielder Arnor Gudjohnsen.
