Swansea City academy players Jacob Cook, Ewan Griffiths and Aimar Govea have received international call-ups for their respective nations.

Cook and Griffiths have been called up for the Wales Under-17 squad ahead of their upcoming Uefa European Championship later this month, while Govea will join up with Ecuador.

The Welsh side head to Porec, Croatia between October 16 and 27 where they will face hosts Croatia, Sweden and Albania in the qualifying rounds of the 2023 Under-17 European Championship.

Cook and Griffiths recently sported the Welsh jersey in France in September, as they took on their international age-grade side in two friendlies in preparation for the big tournament.

The qualifying round will begin on October 20 where Cymru will face Croatia at Stadion Veli Jože (kick-off 12pm UK time). They will then take on Sweden at Stadion Lako on October 23 (kick-off 10am UK time).

Cymru will return to Stadion Lako on October 26 for the final game of their qualifying campaign against Albania (kick-off 12:00pm UK time).

Meanwhile, midfielder Govea has been called up for Ecuador Under-17s and will join the squad for a training camp.
