Swansea City Academy recently hosted a day to remember for the foundation and youth development phase squads with an afternoon of games at the Swansea.com Stadium.

The under-nines up to the under-14s' had the experience of playing on the hallowed turf, a pitch which has seen academy graduates such as Joe Allen, Ben Cabango, Liam Cullen and Ollie Cooper take centre stage.

The younger age-groups played out small-sided games against each other, whilst the under-13s and under-14s had full reign of the pitch for an 80-minute game.

Academy manager Gavin Levey said: "At the Academy, we must maximise moments where we can help create lifelong memories. 

"The Academy journey for every young player is unique, but having the chance to play on the stadium will hopefully inspire the young players to fulfil their potential! 

"A big thank you must go to our operations team at the stadium who helped create a great day for the youngsters and their families."
