Swansea City has once again achieved family excellence status, joining a record number of EFL clubs who achieved a bronze award or above.

The EFL’s Family Excellence Scheme assesses the family experience clubs provide, and rewards them with gold, silver or bronze status (introduced for the first time in 2023-24) for the quality of their match experience across a range of touchpoints including ticket purchasing, matchday entertainment, accessibility, facilities and communications.

The scheme – which sees each club assessed twice throughout the season - has awarded 69 clubs bronze award or higher this season; a record high for the leagues.

The Swans' review particularly praised the club’s facilities team; commenting on the cleanliness of the stadium.

While the revamped south stand kids fan zone - which has seen an increase of activities in place for young fans on matchday including a brand new children’s entertainer, penalty shootout competition, and basketball game - also received positive feedback.

There was also praise for the Swans’ new initiative, which sees two young fans selected at random to watch warm up from pitchside, and made note of young supporters delivering the team news in the family stand on matchday as offering some young fans special matchday moments.

For the third season in a row, over one million junior supporters came through the turnstiles to enjoy a live matchday experience at an EFL game.

The Swans contributed to the introduction of young fans attending games with a combined effort of the Joma grassroots initiatives, work with Swansea City AFC Foundation’s projects and further community engagement activities; including tickets donated by Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen which were distributed into the community via grassroots clubs and further projects.

The club hopes to see an increase on returning families in 2025-26 with newly introduced child and adult prices in the south stand to ensure watching Championship football is as affordable as possible.

Season tickets are on sale for the 2025-26 season and further ticket details and prices can be found here.
