Swansea City Adam King Southend United loan

5th August

Swansea City youngster Adam King has joined League One side Southend United on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.
The 20-year-old, who joined the Swans from Scottish Premiership side Hearts in January 2014, had a five-month loan spell in League One with Crewe last season, where the Scottish Under-21 international scored five goals in 26 appearances.
The Edinburgh-born midfielder also played a key role with Swansea City's development squad during the 2015-16 campaign, scoring three goals to help the Under-21s reach the Premier League Two Division Two play-off semi-finals.
So far this pre-season, King has featured in the first-team's pre-season tour of America against Charlotte and Richmond Kickers along with the domestic friendly matches against Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town.
The youngster becomes the ninth Swans player to go out on loan this summer, following Bafe Gomis (Marseille), Kyle Bartley, Matt Grimes (both Leeds), Ryan Hedges, Liam Shephard (both Yeovil), Josh Vickers (Barnet), Oliver Davies (Kilmarnock) and Kenji Gorre (Northampton) in clinching temporary moves.
