Swansea City confirm football staff appointments
Swansea City can confirm the appointment of Pedro Pereira as the club’s new head of goalkeeping, subject to work permit and visa confirmation.
The Portuguese will join the Swans having most recently held the role of goalkeeping coach at Red Bull Salzburg.
Pereira and head coach Vitor Matos worked together at the Austrian club as well as with Porto earlier in their careers, with Pereira boasting more than 15 years of coaching experience and also having stints at clubs such as Al Sadd and Famalicao.
Additionally, we can also confirm Jay Lefevre has been appointed as Swansea City’s head of recruitment.
Lefevre joined Swansea City as chief scout in December 2025 from Celtic, and has impressed everyone with the clarity and calibre of his work, which has included leading our preparations for this summer window over recent months. He will report into the club’s new sporting director, Ben Stevens.
We have also seen assistant head coach Ryan Maye leave the club by mutual consent. We thank Ryan for his efforts during his time at Swansea City, and wish him and his family all the very best for the future.
