Swansea City deeply saddened by passing of Councillor Robert Francis-Davies

Swansea City is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Councillor Robert Francis-Davies.

A passionate Swans fans, Cllr Francis-Davies was an influential figure in the development of the Swansea.com Stadium, and a driving force in the plans for the ground coming to fruition.

He went on to serve on the board of the Swansea Stadium Management Company until the club took over the lease of the stadium in 2018.

Cllr Francis-Davies was a respected and committed public servant, who proudly worked for the people of Morriston and Swansea for over 40 years.

The thoughts of everyone at Swansea City are with his friends, family and colleagues at this very sad time.
