Swansea City to discover Carabao Cup opponents on Thursday

Swansea City will find out their Carabao Cup opponents when the draw for the first round is made live on Sky Sports on Thursday, June 24 at 3.40pm.

The Swans, winners of the competition in 2013, will be joined in the draw by Sheffield United, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, along with Sutton United and Hartlepool United, who were promoted to League Two.

A total of 35 fixtures will be drawn for round one, which will see teams drawn in northern and southern sections, with matches scheduled to take place on the week commencing August 9. Clubs are also able to mutually agree an alternative date between July 31 and August 4.

The Swans will be number 32 in the draw, which takes place on the same day as the Swans' fixtures are revealed for the Championship campaign, with details of those matches released at 9am on our official website, app and social media channels.
