Swansea City enters strategic partnership with Jamestown Analytics
Swansea City is delighted to confirm the club has entered into a strategic partnership with player recruitment data specialists Jamestown Analytics.
While the club’s recruitment approach in recent years has been data led, we are continuously looking to make improvements to how we operate – in line with our strategic pillar of Kaizen.
As such, this partnership means Swansea City now has access to world-leading, industry-renowned expertise that can help the club work as efficiently as possible in our player trading model.
This partnership will sit alongside our scouting processes and operations to identify the players we want to bring to Swansea City, and bring balance to complement a settled squad where, for the first time in a number of years, all key senior players are under contract.
Swansea City chief executive Tom Gorringe, said: “This partnership is a real coup for the club. Jamestown are widely regarded as leaders in data led player recruitment, and we have seen the success that many of the their partner clubs have achieved over recent times. Jamestown only works with an exclusive list of clubs and we are honoured to now join that group.”
Sporting director Ben Stevens, added: “From my initial conversations with the club I was excited about the plans and this partnership is a big part of that. I have always been data focused when it comes to decision making, and so having access to this industry leading system provides us with great opportunites for the future.”
Head of recruitment Jay Lefevre, said: “I am really looking forward to working with Jamestown Analytics as a world leader in their field with a proven track record for player identification and recruitment. As a club we are always looking for ways in which we can improve, and we feel that this partnership gives us an extra edge”.
