Swansea City will face Oxford United away from home in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

Russell Martin's side will head to the Kassam Stadium in the week commencing August 8.

They will take on a U's side who finished eighth in League One under Karl Robinson last term.

Like the Swans, Oxford are one-time winners of the League Cup having lifted the trophy in 1986, with former Swansea striker Jeremy Charles among their goalscorers in a victory over QPR at Wembley.

The sides have not met since an FA Cup tie in January 2016, with Oxford causing an upset on that occasion by sealing a 3-2 victory.

The date, kick-off time and ticketing details will be confirmed in due course.
