Swansea City FAW Youth Cup Jack Evans

19th November

Midfielder Jack Evans will come up against some familiar faces when Swansea City Under-19s defend their FAW Youth Cup title against Cardiff at Landore on Sunday (2pm).
The young Swans, who lifted the cup for a seventh successive season in May, defeated Welsh Football League side Taffs Well 12-0 in the last round of the competition.
An under-19s side also beat the Bluebirds 3-0 at the same stage of the cup last season.
Evans was part of that victorious side and is looking forward to facing Cardiff once again this season.
"It's always good to come up against Cardiff in the Welsh Cup," said Evans, who has been on Wales Under-19 duty this week. "Over the past couple of seasons we have had some good contests against them in this competition.
"They are a strong side with some good young players that we play alongside in the Wales squad, so we know the game will not be an easy game.
"We played some good football in the Welsh Cup last season - it is a competition that helps younger players develop alongside first-year professionals.
"We have a strong history in the Welsh Cup but we have to take each game as they come. If we go in with confidence and play our way, we can come away with a result."
