Swansea City Jack Map now available to purchase
Swansea City is delighted to reveal that it has been working with season ticket holder Lee Van-Baaren on a piece of artwork which is now available to purchase from the Swans store.
Lee created the design over 12 months ago and reached out to the club about sharing his Jack Map creation, which is also proudly on display at the stadium’s Riverside Lounge.
The map, features some of the most iconic Swansea City matches of the past 44 years, and the players who made it all possible.
From the memorable victory at Preston which sealed promotion to the First Division in 1981, through the win over Hull that secured the club’s place in the Football League, to the Championship play-off final, League Cup win and last Saturday’s memorable win against Cardiff City.
It also features some historic names to have donned Swans colours, including Alan Curtis, Lee Trundle, James Thomas, Michu, Scott Sinclair and, now, the team who made history by securing the first ever South Wales derby double.
“Each line has 11 markers which represent the starting line-up of that game,” said Lee. “Where lines intersect, that player would have started in both of these matches. The latest game to be added is the recent derby win against Cardiff.
“As a lifelong Swansea fan and season ticket holder, I hope my fellow supporters enjoy reminiscing over these past matches as much as I have whilst creating this artwork."
Swansea City’s head of commercial, Rebecca Edwards-Symmons added: “The club are delighted that we can finally showcase Lee’s artwork and share this with other supporters.
“The design epitomises the relationship between the club and its fans and it was a privilege for us to work with Lee and give our supporters a chance to buy a product that they will enjoy.”
The artwork is now available to purchase online for £35.
Opening times
The club shop will be open over the Easter weekend. However, supporters should be aware that the click and collect service at our Cwmdu Warehouse will be closed on Friday 15 and Monday 18 April.
