Swansea City Under-18s and Swansea City Ladies have seen their respective weekend fixtures postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The under-18s had been due to host Hull City at Landore on Saturday, while the Ladies had been scheduled to take on Abergavenny on Sunday.

However, their respective competitions have confirmed no fixtures will take place over the weekend.

"Further to the announcement made by the Premier League and football stakeholders, as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, English Football has united to postpone all football fixtures between September 9 and 11 2022," read a statement.

"This will include all academy games programme fixtures from U9 through to U21. We will provide further information in due course.

"All Professional Development Phase fixtures scheduled to be played on Monday, September 12, 2022 will go ahead as planned."

Swansea City Under-21s are set to face Ipswich in East Anglia on Monday.

The Adran Leagues also confirmed the postponement of this weekend’s fixtures in a short statement.

“The Genero Adran Leagues can confirm that this weekend's fixtures (September 9 - 11) will be postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II," it read.

“Further updates on fixtures scheduled to take place during the period of mourning will be provided in due course.”
