Swansea City Ladies PILCS Welsh Womens Premier League

23rd September

Swansea City Ladies claimed an impressive 2-0 victory over PILCS Ladies at Baglan Boys and Girls Club on Sunday.
The Swans had a number of chances during the first half with Emily Brown, Sarah Adams and Lara Gait all going close to breaking the deadlock.
PILCS almost took the lead before half-time but their effort on goal hit the woodwork. But it was the Swans who took the lead going into the break as Brown played in Gait, who scored on her debut in the 43rd minute.
In the second half, Swans goalkeeper Ffion Ashman denied PILC on a number of occasions as the visitors went in search of an equaliser.
But the Swans doubled their lead in the 70th minute after Sarah Adams converted a superb free-kick.
