Swansea City Ladies have become Genero Adran Premier champions for the third consecutive season.

Their latest silverware was confirmed after Cardiff City Women held title challengers Cardiff Met to a draw at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Met had needed to win the fixture in order to set up a final-day title decider.

The Swans could have won the league last weekend, but were held to a draw by a resolute Aberystwyth Town Women side at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport.

The result left the door ajar for the second-placed team, with Met knowing they needed a victory against the Bluebirds.

They took the lead on the half-hour mark, but were pegged back just before the break and fell behind shortly after half-time.

Met did get one back with just over half an hour to go, but they couldn’t find another goal leaving them four points behind the Swans with one game remaining.
