Swansea City supporters vote to amend primary club crest

Swansea City can confirm that supporters have voted to remove the text from the club’s primary badge, while the club’s secondary badge will now be the version with text.

We would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation process either through in-person meetings or detailed surveys. We would also like to thank everyone who took part in the final vote.

In the interest of transparency, we can confirm that 66 per cent of fans voted positively for the change and/or expressed that they would be happy to see the club go forward with either of the badges. A total of 34 per cent voted against the change.

This amendment will come into effect for the 2027-28 season and will see the Swansea City home shirt display the swan crest without text, similar to that seen on this season’s away and third kits, as well as the one-off pre-season kit worn by the team in Austria.

The club will also use the more digitally friendly badge without text more prominently on its website and app, with some of these changes coming into effect during the 2026-27 season.
