Swansea City Under-18s

21st January

Swansea City Under-18s came from behind to take a dramatic victory against Leicester City in Premier League South at Fairwood on Saturday.
Both sides played out a scrappy first half in the winter sunshine as midfielder Cameron Berry's shot from the edge of the area forced Foxes keeper Adam Harrison into a low save.
Chances also fell to Causso Darame and Kieran Evans, while Leicester winger Kairo Edwards-John fired a shot wide before half time.
The young Swans continued to pressure the Leicester defence in the second half but could not find a breakthrough in the final third.
The Foxes took the lead from a free-kick on the hour mark as Kieran Dewsbury-Hall's low strike beat Alex Lang from 25-yards.
Swansea levelled fifteen minutes later as a superb ball from Berry found Edwards to race through on goal before coolly slotting past Harrison.
The young Swans continued to press inside the final ten minutes as Edwards and Berry saw their shots saved before Evans low strike cannoned off the foot of the post.
But the attacks paid off as Swansea took the lead in the 86th minute as Evans shot on goal was blocked, the ball fell to defender Matt Blake outside the area to lash home the winner from 30-yards.
The result, Swansea's first win of 2017, lifts the under-18s off the foot of the Premier League South table.
