Swansea City Under-18s Austria pre-season

11th July

Swansea City Under-18s kicked-off their pre-season with a 3-2 win over Austrian side SC Wiener Neustadt.
The young Swans have been working hard at their Eurasmus training camp in Südstadt over the past 7 days and used the game to gain vital match fitness ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.
Coaches Eric Ramsay and Chris Llewellyn utilised every player on offer, fielding two different teams in each half, containing a mix of first and second year scholars.
Both sides matched each other in a close fought contest during the first half. A double from winger Liam Cullen saw the young Swans hold the game level 2-2 at the break.
But, it was the pace and experience of Causso Darame who gave the Swans the win in Austria, the winger cutting in from the left before beating the keeper with a shot into the bottom corner on 70 minutes.
The Under-18s are next scheduled to face Hull City Academy this coming Friday (July 15).
