Swansea City Under-18s Brighton Chris Llewellyn
16th September
Chris Llewellyn believes consistency is key for Swansea City Under-18s ahead of their upcoming test against Brighton at their Performance Centre in Premier League South on Saturday (11am).
Two goals from Liam Cullen helped the young Swans to a 2-2 draw against Fulham at Landore last week - a result which saw the them pick up their second point of the season.
But Llewellyn admits the scholars must build on that result with another positive outcome this weekend.
"We were pleased with the point and performance against Fulham last week," the Under-18s coach said. "But we know we must start to produce consistent performances going forward.
"Brighton are another tough academy side and we don't want a repeat of the results we had against Norwich and Chelsea.
"Eric (Ramsay) and myself feel we have a good chance to take something from the match this weekend if the performance levels are up to the standards we expect from ourselves.
"When we win the ball we need to make sure we make good use of it, take our chances and be more clinical in the final third.
"Goals change games and when we do create chances we have to take them, but I am confident with the quality we have in this squad that we will score more than we miss.
"It is an open league, and we need to continue our good form from the Fulham game and take it to another level on Saturday."
