Swansea City Under-18s Fulham Premier League South

20th November

Swansea City Under-18s go in search of their second win in Barclays Premier League South on Saturday morning at home to Fulham (11am).
The scholars narrowly lost away at Reading 3-2 last weekend despite goals from Liam Cullen and Brandon Griffiths, while Fulham beat Tottenham 5-3 to move up to seventh in the table.
U18s defender Conor Quigley, who captained the Swans last weekend, believes the team are improving and insists the side will keep fighting to get results in category one this season.
"It was frustrating to come away from the Reading game with nothing," he said.
"As a team we did well against a strong side who are second in the table and feel we should have come away with at least a point.
"We are starting to compete against teams in the league, but know we need to start turning good performances into points.
"Now we are in the second half of the season we all feel as though we have a point to prove and that teams can't just take us for granted.
"We go into every game with confidence and that will be no different against Fulham this weekend.
"We just need to continue to produce good performances, stay solid at the back and convert chances we create in front of goal."
The Under-18s welcome back Lewis Thomas to the squad after the goalkeeper missed the Reading game because of Wales international duty last week.
And Coach Chris Llewellyn insists his inclusion will add a boost to the team.
"We have a strong squad to pick from and have had a good week of training ahead of Fulham," he added.
"We performed well last weekend and were disappointed not to get anything from the game but we move on from that and are focusing on this weekend.
"Our performances have improved in the last month, we just need to keep doing what we are doing and continue to push for more results."
