Swansea City Under-18s Mael Davies

23rd September

Mael Davies has challenged Swansea City Under-18s to maintain their unbeaten home record in Premier League South when they face Tottenham at Landore on Saturday (11am).
The young Swans lost 3-1 against Brighton at their Performance Centre last weekend but have picked up two points at home with draws against table-toppers Arsenal and Fulham.
Despite a slow start to the season, full-back Davies believes the squad has what it takes to continue to progress in the league this season.
"As a team we were disappointed with our performance against Fulham last weekend," said the 17-year-old. "Our focus must be to bounce back from that defeat and maintain our unbeaten home record this weekend.
"This season we have made a better start compared to this time last year, but we expect better from ourselves and are disappointed not to have had more results so far.
"Our main aim must be to get some consistency as the season progresses. We have been through this before, but we must keep our heads up and focus on the task in hand.
"Tottenham will be one of the toughest sides we face this campaign. We have shown we can match the likes of Arsenal - our task now must be to go one better and push for a result against Spurs on Saturday."
