"We are in good shape heading into Friday's match," said Ramsay. "Everyone has been buoyed by the performance against Southampton - it was one of our best performances of the season.
"We were happy with the chances we created but disappointed not to have taken the win. As a team we want to continue that form against United on Friday.
"Everyone sees this game as one of the biggest of the season. The level of talent their academy has produced over the last 30 years is incredible.
"Recent weeks have shown that United's academy are still producing fresh players for the first team.
"We are excited to face a new challenge and will give them the respect they deserve but we are not fearful."
