Swansea City Under-18s Sheffield Wednesday FA Youth Cup

10th December

Swansea City Under-18s kick-off their FA Youth Cup campaign at home to category two side Sheffield Wednesday at Llanelli's Stebonheath Park on Friday afternoon (1pm).
The young Swans, who reached the fifth round last season, have won their last three matches including 3-0 victories over Southampton in the league and Cardiff in the FAW Youth Cup, while the Owls have lost their last two league games.
"The game has come at a good time," said U18s coach Eric Ramsay. "We are really excited to start this season's youth cup campaign.
"We go into the game off the back of some really good performances in both the league and FAW Youth Cup.
"We had a good run in the competition this time last season with wins over Watford and Doncaster and that is something we are keen to repeat this year.
"The side has come a long way since the start of the season but we still have hard work to do to continue our development.
"We want to continue our winning run this Friday and make sure we are in the hat for the next round."
