Swansea City Under-18s Southampton Premier League South
4th December
Swansea City Under-18s return to Barclays Premier League South action away at Southampton this Saturday (11am).
The scholars will look to continue their winning run after victories over Norwich and Cardiff this week in the league and FAW Youth Cup respectively.
Meanwhile, the Saints have lost their last four games including a 3-2 defeat away at Fulham last weekend.
Under-18s coach Chris Llewellyn says he is pleased with the young Swans recent performances and has urged the side to continue their good form this Saturday.
"Last week was our most complete performance in the league," he said.
"We were excellent from start to finish against Norwich and we want to keep that going against Southampton this weekend.
"We built on that victory with a superb win over Cardiff in the FAW Youth Cup on Thursday.
"We have shown more of a cutting edge in front of goal the last few games.
"Myself and Eric (Ramsay) want us to continue to create chances and be ruthless in the final third.
"The league is our bread and butter and we want to get as many good results as we can there this season.
The scholars have a full squad to pick from as the team rested a number of Under-18s players for the FAW Youth Cup game against Cardiff in midweek.
""We want to continue our strong performances in order to keep our run going," Llewellyn added.
"The involvement of five Under-21s players dropping down for the FAW Youth Cup game on Thursday has helped us keep players fresh ahead of Saturday.
